Looking for something fun, amazing and educational to do this weekend in Tucson? The University of Arizona is hosting the Tucson Festival of Books all day Saturday and Sunday, and Bookmans is proud to be a sponsor again this year! With great events for kids (and adults, too!) it's a great FREE way to spend your weekend in the beautiful Tucson weather. We'll be hosting storytime, tote bag decorating... and there might even be some appearances by the illustrious BOOKMAN!

9:30 am – 12:00 pm – Bookmans Canvas Bag Decorating: Decorate your very own “I Heart Bookmans” reusable canvas bag. With tons of colors and stencils, the only limit is your imagination!!

12:30 pm – 1:30 pm – Interactive Story Time with Safari Sandi: Join us for a fabulous story time where the audience helps tell the story!! With puppets, buried treasure, and ever a few magic tricks – this is an event you won’t want to miss. Afterwards, Safari Sandi will tie balloon giraffes & parrots that really sit on your shoulder! She’ll even paint faces to look like tigers, boa constrictors, tropical flowers and bugs! Bookmans will be providing FREE snacks and juice boxes for this story hour.

2:00 pm – 5:00 pm – Bookmans Canvas Bag Decorating: Bag decorating will continue the rest over the afternoon. Don’t miss your chance to take home our newest bag design for FREE!!

She’ll share a bag full of items that inspired her famous nursery rhymes as she tells the story of her flight to Tucson. Afterwards, Mother Goose will tie balloon flowers, hummingbirds and bumblebees from Mistress Mary, Quite Contrary’s garden. She’ll also face paint butterflies, snails, snakes, flowers and ladybugs. Bookmans will be providing FREE snacks and juice boxes for this story hour.
