Today is a great day. Today is the day we celebrate the great Chuck Norris' 69th birthday. In honor of the action star, Bookmans Phoenix has decided to create a new holiday: Chuck-mas! All day today, Bookmans Phoenix will be celebrating Chuck-mas with contests, giveaways, awesome Chuck Norris merchandise, and even a Chuck-mas tree! We also wrote a letter to the great Mr. Norris:

Dear Mr. Chuck Norris,

Here at Bookmans Entertainment Exchange in Phoenix, we adore everything that is Chuck Norris, and that is no exaggeration. Every morning, bright and early, when we open our lovely used entertainment store, our assistant manager starts everyone’s day off by announcing over the intercom, a “Chuck-ism”. There is surely no greater way to begin the day.

At Bookmans, we buy, sell and trade used media of all forms all day long. Over our trade counters, we keep a keen eye out for any Chuck Norris related media and of course the coveted used copy of “Walker Texas Ranger” and we all await the glorious day in which all eight seasons will come into our store at the same time, and in the same trade deal. One can only hope for such dreams to come true.

When it gets close to this time of the year, our store goes all out to celebrate your birthday. March 10th is known throughout this store as “CHUCK-MAS”, in which we celebrate the birth and life of our martial arts and movie action star icon. We are adamant about rewarding our customers for just merely knowing random facts about you by doing hourly Chuck Norris trivia with store credit being a prize. And you can definitely catch shoppers sporting sheriff badges that we give away for free because in reality, everyone deserves to pretend to be Chuck Norris once in a while.

This year, we’ve kicked it up a notch and adorned a Chuck-mas tree to reflect nothing but Norris. I personally took it upon myself to make it the best Chuck-mas tree mankind has ever seen (and when you're trying to pay a tribute to one that is such a wrecking ball of a man, this is no small task). Our tree comes complete with handmade Chuck Norris ornaments, silver sheriff badges and underneath its green Chuck-mas bristles are presents wrapped in our very own creation: Chuck Norris wrapping paper.

To say we are fans of you, Mr. Norris, is to say the least. On any given day at Bookmans, you can find our employees giggling over a new Norris joke, drooling over a Norris DVD or book and definitely talking up all that is YOU. We appreciate all you have done, all you are doing and all you will accomplish in your never-ending, roundhouse-kicking life, you amazing bearded guru of all that is awesome.

Happy Birthday Mr. Norris, we hope it’s the best one yet!
