It's time once again for the Tucson Festival of Books, a fun-filled two-day extravaganza that celebrates everything we love about storytelling and the written word. Last year's event was an amazing success with more than 50,000 people in attendance, and this year's event will be even bigger and better! Bookmans is proud to be a contributing sponsor of the Tucson Festival of Books again this year. Join us at our two Bookmans tents as we work together to create a giant Fight Censorship community art project, with book recommendations from you! In our Kids' Tent, we'll be bringing back our ever-popular canvas bag decorating from 9:30 a.m. to noon and 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. each day, with a fabulous storytime featuring balloon art, face-painting and free snacks from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.! At the festival, there are writing workshops and competitions, panel presentations, live cooking demonstrations, children's activities, storytelling, artists and musicians...and all of this entertainment is free to the public. In 2009, the festival featured more than 450 authors and presenters, representing numerous genres. There truly is something for all readers, of all ages. There is no admittance fee, and no parking fees at The University of Arizona. The Tucson Festival of Books will take place on the University of Arizona Mall, Saturday March 13 & Sunday, March 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. Free Admission.
