The first local program of its kind, Guitars In The Classroom (GITC) is a non-profit organization that provides guitar lessons to classroom teachers to help them integrate music into their students' daily school experiences and improve learning and retention levels. Learn basic guitar skills and turn your classroom into an educational jamboree. GITC even offers guitars on loan so you don't even have to own an instrument to participate in the classes. Bookmans' sponsorship of this program allows classroom teachers to receive these lessons for FREE! *All interested must register through the GITC website to enroll*

You're invited to hear a new sound courtesy of Mana Trio as they set up in store for a free performance! We've teamed up with Classical Revolution to bring bands into Bookmans that will open your mind to what music is and can be, so join us in the Classical Revolution! "The ‘Classical Revolution’ began in San Francisco in 2006 at the Revolution Cafe amongst a group of classical musicians wanting to bring the timeless themes of Haydn, Beethoven, and Shostakovich into a more casual coffeehouse setting. Their purpose was to break down the traditional expectations of classical music by making it truly accessible. We wanted to bring some of the same energy here to Phoenix.

This summer we offer expanded cafe hours. Come see us each morning at 7 a.m. for coffee, pastries and high-speed wifi.
For the next two Saturdays from ten in the morning until four in the afternoon, Bookmans will be in the Chamber of Commerce parking lot on the corner of Beaver Street and Route 66 in downtown Flagstaff, buying and selling. If you are bringing stuff to sell us, please pull in off of Route 66, pull all the way forward in the lot, and our employees will be right with you to help unload your vehicle. We will then ask you to park in one of the nearby city lots , or you can just go do whatever you'd wish and return a little later when your deal is done! See here for our revised schedule.
