On Saturday, January 16th, the Tucson Roller Derby will kick-off their 2010 season at Bladeworld, where the VICE Squad will face-off with the Furious Truckstop Waitresses and the Copper Queens will challenge the Northern AZ Roller Derby. Tucson Roller Derby is an all-girl flat-track roller derby league formed in 2003. It is a skater-owned and operated organization, and conducts all of its bouts and activities with the motto: "By the skaters. For the skaters. Always." Bookmans has been a proud sponsor of the Tucson Roller Derby for the last 3 years, and we look forward to continuing our sponsorship of these amazing women in 2010. In addition to providing cash support for this feisty female-led community organization, Bookmans also sells tickets for all their bouts at our stores.
