Don’t know what to do with your broken television set sitting in the carport? That old computer monitor you replaced last summer? Want to recycle it properly and safely?
Tucson Clean & Beautiful is working in partnership with American Retrowork and Cartridge World Tucson to collect a variety of electronic items to conserve resources, create jobs and preserve our environment. The first 100 people to recycle their old electronic items at the Ward IV office on Saturday, October 31st will receive a $5 Bookmans card as our thank you for making Tucson a greener place to live!
The Ward IV City Council Office is located at 8123 E. Poinciana Dr. (east of Pantano Rd., between Escalante and Irvington, adjacent to the Clements Center). The event will begin at 8 a.m. and close at 1 p.m. sharp. This collection event will include the recycling of televisions, home entertainment equipment, computers, computer monitors, printers and computer peripherals, cell phones, landline phones, printer cartridges and other electronic parts. We CANNOT accept large appliances, refrigerators, or air conditioners. All working and non-working electronics will be accepted. There is a small fee for televisions ($10) and computer monitors alone ($5), all other electronic items are free!
