Bookmans News
Every quarter, Bookmans highlights the work of an important organization from each of our Arizona markets in our stores and on the web. Learn what you can do to help support the invaluable work of others in your community.

Southern Arizona Blues Heritage Foundation
The Southern Arizona Blues Heritage Foundation (SABHF) is an all volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of Blues music and culture in southern Arizona through live performances and education. This year, Bookmans is the sole sponsor of the SABHF Blues Challenge, which will decide the next local blues band to represent southern Arizona at the National Blues Challenge. The winner of the SABHF Blues Challenge will receive a $2000 travel prize provided by Bookmans to attend the National Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee.

The Downtown Phoenix Public Market
The Downtown Phoenix Public Market celebrates everything local! Much like Bookmans, they seek to add heart and style to the Phoenix community. In the coming months, Bookmans will take part in the grand opening of the brand new “brick & mortar” market that is currently being built, and feature in-store events - classes on local sustainability, Bookmans Market Days, and an exchange program at the market. Join us in building toward a beautiful Valley of the Sun.

Operation School Bell
Operation School Bell is an organization that provides children in need with assistance to enhance self-esteem, promote learning, and encourage regular school attendance. Locally, teachers from several Flagstaff elementary schools partner with Operation School Bell to identify children in grades 1-6 who are in need of clothing. New clothes, hygiene kits, show vouchers, cold weather hats, gloves, and coats are provided to those children. Bookmans is proud to announce that we have joined the Assistance League to provide gift certificates to each child so that they can add books and music to the necessities they receive.
