Our Summer Kids Events at Bookmans Mesa have started off with a HUGE turnout. Last week we helped to make our planet a better place and decorated recycled tote bags. Armed with our imaginations, stencils and a wide variety of colors, we were able to show off our creativity and create a bag we can use over and over again.
This week, we also welcomed Gerry of Guitars in the Classroom to our store. Gerry lead us by playing some beloved childrens tunes, and answered questions on how he started playing music as well as different types of music out there. Bookmans provided rainsticks for every child so that they could join in the melody and tap out the rhythm and beats. As a special treat, little ones were able to decorate their rainsticks afterwards to have a unique and cool item to take home.
Join us next week where we will be hosting the Great American Puppet Theater, where they will be performing "Two Bad Mice" As always, all events at Bookmans are free!
