A loosely associated posse of Tucson tech types ventured to Austin in March for the SXSW® Interactive Festival. Many are familiar with SXSW and the emergent film and music the festival is known for. SXSWi is an outgrowth of that creative force but features presentations from the brightest minds in technology and provides networking events hosted by industry leaders, a trade show, and other programs showcasing new digital works, video games and innovative ideas. The Pima County Library brings all the best from SXSWi 2011 to the Tucson public tomorrow from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Joel D. Valdez Main Library, 101 N. Stone Avenue.

Planned topics/themes include:
* What is SXSWi? How did it evolve?
* The power of crowds.
* Brief review of interesting sessions.
* Noteworthy SXSWi events outside the sessions and how to maximize time.
* Bringing the ideas presented at SXSWi to Tucson.
* E-books and "future-proofing" libraries and bookstores.
* Net neutrality.
* Privacy: Curation versus censorship.
* Games Make Us Better.
* Geo-based sharing.
The all-star panel includes people from Bookmans, Gangplank Tucson, O'Reilly Media's Tools of Change, Opera Software, P-N Designs, Inc., and Pima County Library who attended the most recent SXSWi conference. For more information on this presentation including biographies of the panelists and how to get your parking validated, visit the Pima County Library's website.
