Thanks to the kids and parents who have turned out in droves for this year's run of Summer Kids Events! And an extra-special thanks to our Event Liaisons and Community Relations crew - Audrey, Cody, Kate, Lori, Tamara, Todd, and Valarie - for the  planning, organizing, and general fun-making that goes into pulling every one of these events off.

Bookmans Reusable Tote Bag Decorating

From Audrey C, Bookmans Ina: Over ninety kids showed up from our local communities to come in and decorate their very own reusable Bookmans canvas bag! We had a blast decorating and there were lots of really great artists in our group who made some really inventive and amazing canvas bags. Thanks to every one who showed up and rocked out this event with us, and a super big thanks to all of the helpers at Ina who made this event run smoothly!

Fabulous 4th Fun Day

From Kate B, Bookmans Flagstaff: Raquel Rotnes, originally an actor and artist from Brazil, is now Flagstaff's foremost arts and crafts instructor, and she led kids in a two week multi-media art project incorporating pastels and collage on July 1st and 8th in Bookmans' cafe. Raquel will begin a regular kids story time and crafts event on Sundays this fall. Check out the Events Calendar for updates on Raquel's upcoming books and arts program beginning in September.
