We've got lots and lots of events planned to make your weekend entertaining, educational and exciting. From author signings to Dr. Seuss' birthday party, and our Kids' Winter Jamboree, there's no reason to have a boring weekend no matter where you are in Arizona! Check out the events happening at a Bookmans near you:

Saturday, February 20
Come celebrate the culmination of our wonderful Music in the Classroom (MIC program) at our Winter Jamboree in Flagstaff! Thanks to the Orpheum Theater, we have a location to host this fun music- and dance-filled event, with special guest Chuck Chessman. The festivities will start at 10:00 a.m.

There's plenty to do Saturday in our Tucson stores, too! At Speedway, we'll first create crazy kids' pop-up books with KidzArt from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. – come create your own creative creature! Then, celebrate the Olympic spirit and welcome Jane Poynter, author of “Champions for Change: Athletes Making a World of Difference” for a book signing and meet-and-greet at 11:00 a.m. At our Grant location, Spiritual Master Bell will make an appearance to help you on your way to seeking spiritual guidance with his mystic palmistry at 5:00 p.m.

The Phoenix metro area has a lot going on Saturday as well! At our Mesa store, we'll have a wild and wacky Dr. Seuss party, complete with crazy Cat in the Hat hats, at 1:00 p.m., and at 2:00 p.m. we're hosting David N. Alderman, author of “Black Earth: End of Innocence” for a book signing. You can also meet a furry greyhound friend at our Mesa store after 1:00 p.m. with Arizona Adopt a Greyhound. If you don't find your friendly companion at Mesa, stop by our Phoenix store at 2:00 p.m., to meet up with Greyhound Pets of America. And you can always stop by and check out the N.E.R.D.S. Meetup at Phoenix from 6:00 to 9:30 p.m.!

Sunday, February 21
All the action isn't on Saturday, we've got some great events scheduled for Sunday, as well! Stop by Bookmans Ina in Tucson from noon to 4:00 p.m. On Sunday to support Save the Pets AZ. Bookmans Mesa will host author Marc David for a signing of “The Addicted Runner” at 2:00 p.m., and Bookmans Phoenix will hold its weekly fusion belly dancing class at 1:30 p.m. If you're into anime, consider stopping in at the meeting of the Across Plus Anime Club, hosted by Bookmans Phoenix from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday!
