School’s out and what better way to “beat the heat” than to join the Summer Movie Madness at MADCAP Theaters, starting June 2 through August 6. Families can purchase a 10 week pass to see G and PG rated films for just $7.00 or pay $2.00 for individual screenings. This is also a great field trip for camps, daycares, schools, and groups. MADCAP Theaters will be showing a different film each week, including:

* Bee Movie (June 2 thru 4)
* Harriet the Spy (June 9 thru 11)
* Hotel for Dogs (June 16 thru 18)
* Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius (June 23 thru 25)
* Rugrats in Paris (June 30 thru July 2)
* Shark Tale (July 7 thru 9)
* Spongebob Squarepants: The Movie (July 14 thru 16)
* Spiderwick Chronicles (July 21 thru 23)
* Rugrats: The Movie (July 28 thru 30)
* Wallace & Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit (August 4 thru 6)

Tickets can be purchased online at www.madcaptheaters.com or at the door. Kids Packs will also be available at the concession stand, which include popcorn, candy, and a juice box for $5.00.

Bookmans is a proud support of Madcap Theaters in Tempe. In order to increase the amount of live entertainment and cultural activity happening on and around Mill Avenue, the Downtown Tempe Community (DTC) has opened the Mill Avenue District Community Arts Project (MADCAP Theaters). The six theaters inside can then be used to host a variety of performances and activities including: live music, comedy, theatre, lectures, dance companies, independent film screenings, and corporate meetings.

By providing affordable space to local artists, Mill Avenue District continues its reputation as an art-friendly community. Creating an environment with unique cultural attractions will also attract new, independent businesses to the surrounding retail spaces.
