The 2010 Phoenix Film Festival has officially ended and it went out with a bang! Celebrating the 10th anniversary, The Phoenix Film Festival had several firsts along with many classic favorites. A week long celebration of film in every aspect the Phoenix Film Festival continues to grow annually. At Bookmans we are proud to support The Phoenix Film Festival in its endeavors to create a unique atmosphere.

In years past the festival starts on a Thursday evening with an Opening Night Film. This year the festival welcomed an Opening Night Gala, which not only honored local Harkins Theaters owner, Dan Harkins, but was a benefit to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital and The Phoenix Film Foundation. Another first was Saturday's Kids Day, a free event that invited children to learn a unique first person interaction into the film making experience. Eight evenings worth of film programming guarantees everyone will find something of interest. From shorts to feature films, competition pieces to the "Late Nite Snacks" the festival encompasses something we can all love and enjoy.

Last night a lively audience enjoyed a sold out screening of feature film "Middle Men" that has not yet been released in theaters. The film was attended by many of the films actors, producers, and directors. Many were thoroughly excited to see Luke Wilson and Director, George Gallo in the audience. Following the film the audience participated in a Q & A session. Thank you to the Phoenix Film Foundation and all of the festival volunteers for providing an excellent festival experience and bringing this event to Phoenix!
