Since 1977, the Crisis Nursery has been providing protection and support to abused, neglected and homeless children all over the valley. It is the oldest center of its kind in Phoenix and since its doors opened it has helped over 16,000 children and their families. The Nursery provides hope and opportunity to those who may otherwise not have had any. We all want Arizona’s children to succeed and live happier and healthier lives, which is why Bookmans is giving back to the Crisis Nursery for the holidays and we are asking for everyone to join us.

On Saturday November 14th, Bookmans Phoenix and Bookmans Mesa will be welcoming everyone in the community to join us in a charitable craft experience that we are extremely excited about. Each person who attends will be applying their creativity towards decorating a single paper leaf to their liking. Now one leaf may not seem like a lot, but in the end, all the leaves will be strung together to create a fabulous fall decoration that will be donated to the Crisis Nursery’s facility and the Marcus house (the Crisis Nursery’s sister facility) in downtown Phoenix to spruce up the building for the children during the Thanksgiving season. Every leaf matters, which is why we are asking all families and friends to come out to this free arts and crafts event for all ages. It’s truly amazing that by doing something so simple and with the help of the community, we can play a part in bringing some holiday cheer to the courageous children at the Nursery. Bookmans extends a tremendous thank you to the Crisis Nursery for everything it has done in making Phoenix a better place and asks you to join us in doing the same.
