Bookmans News

Deep in the pines and high in the mountains, in an undisclosed location somewhere in Flagstaff, Bookmans employees are working hard to prepare for the return of their beloved store. Inside this bat cave, folks are counting, stacking, grinding, pricing, inspecting, researching and every other imaginable task necessary to have a fully stocked new Bookmans store as soon as possible.

Everyone at the warehouse is hard at work. Except this guy.

They have all the necessary elements and tools: great experienced employees, lots of coffee, and Bode the dog, who guards everyone as they work. As many people have already heard, Flagstaff Bookmans employees are also spending their time driving around and buying great stuff from people in Flagstaff (see the Flagstaff page for details). We are currently considering other ways of involving Flagstaff in the store comeback, but, right now, the best thing you can do for us is wear your Bookmans tees and collect all the great stuff you have taking up space in your house (books you’ve read, your grandpa’s LPs, all the DVDs your kids have outgrown) and we’ll be happy to compensate you for it very soon!

Flagstaff Bookmans employees are also continuing to help support our usual community partnerships and events, including Earth Day 2010, organized by the City of Flagstaff, and kids’ events at the downtown public library, like the upcoming Kids Spring Crafts on March 13th, and Teen and Adult Beginning Knitting Night on March 25th. We are lucky to have employees with every kind of skill, so they will be on-hand in the community continuing to do the good work with all the folks we’ve traditionally supported, including the Flagstaff Unified School District, Second Chance Center for Animals, and the Arboretum, among many others.
