Thanks to everyone who came down this Sunday to the Bookmans Low Lounge for our monthly 9 Queens Chess Academy for women & girls! We had a great turnout and plenty of fun was had by all.  This month, the intermediate and advanced players reviewed positions from the recent U.S. Women’s Chess Championship in St. Louis, while the beginners played pawn & rook games, and reviewed the rules and basic strategies.  Bookmans is dedicated to supporting and empowering Tucson's youth, and is proud to sponsor the monthly 9 Queens academies.
