Bookmans Speedway, 4 to 6 p.m., Saturday (9/25) -- 9 Queens Family Chess Night
Join 9 Queens for the first ever Family Chess Experience at Bookmans Speedway. There will be pick-up games, puzzles, and prizes so be sure to bring your Bookmans Chess Passport or pick one up at the event. Got game? Check out the puzzle below. If you can find the winning combination for Black to win in two moves then bring the solution to Family Chess Day to win a prize!

 

 

The Loft Cinema, 9:30 p.m., Saturday (9/25) -- Fight Censorship Screening of A Clockwork Orange
Join us for a special screening of A CLOCKWORK ORANGE in honor of Fight Censorship month at Bookmans. We'll be on the Loft patio giving away FREE passes to the first 50 people and FREE raffle entries for three $100 Bookmans gift baskets and other great prizes! Come celebrate your right to choose what you watch, listen to, or read.

 

 

Hotel Congress, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday (9/26) -- HoCo Family Arts Festival
Join Bookmans for a FREE family-friendly local celebration of arts, culture and innovation! Tucson Pima Arts Council and Hotel Congress have partnered to co-produce the 2010 HoCo Family Arts Festival. The festival will take place at Hotel Congress and Maynard's Market, animating the streets and experience of downtown Tucson with live music, performances, crafts, food, and more.

Bookmans will be inside Hotel Congress all day providing a FREE fabulous recycled instrument craft for kids of all ages and a very special performance of the hugely popular MUSIC HOUR WITH NATURE on the Club Congress stage! This event promises to be fun for the whole family and we can't wait to see you there.

 

 

Bookmans Low Lounge (4300 E. Broadway), 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday (9/26) -- FREE 9 Queens Chess Academy for Women and Girls!

Please join 9 Queens and Bookmans at the Bookmans Low Lounge in the Sahuaro Girl Scout Council's Resource Center for free chess lessons.
