Best-selling novelist Gregory Maguire, whose Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West has been adapted into Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, will speak and sign at the Loft Cinema this Wednesday, June 17th, at 7 p.m. This annual GLBT literary event is presented and funded by Friends of the Pima County Library and PCL's GLBT Committee, and is absolutely FREE and open to the public.

Maguire will discuss his Wicked series (Wicked, Son of a Witch, and the new A Lion Among Men), based on L. Frank Baum's Wizard of Oz books, read from A Lion Among Men, and sign copies of his books, which will be available for purchase at the event. There will also be a live performance of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" by Desert Voices, Tucson's GLBT and Straight Chorus.

This is great opportunity to gain insight into the Wicked series from Maguire himself and support a fantastic literary event in the process! Doors are at 6:30 p.m. and seating is first come, first served. Visit the Pima County Library's website for more information.
