This Friday, August 21st, Bookmans will host two wonderful authors - one a first-time novelist, the other a renowned forester - at our Grant and Flagstaff locations.
Author Vanina Marsot visits Bookmans Grant from 5-6 p.m. for a reading/signing of her debut novel, Foreign Tongue: A Novel of Life and Love in Paris.
Foreign Tongue is a rare and canny creature: a brainy, sexy, romantic comedy of letters. If the moonlit Parisian finish to Foreign Tongue is a little Hollywood, who says that's a bad thing?" - Los Angeles Times
Mary Steuver will give a presentation/signing of her book The Forester's Log: Musings from the Woods at Bookmans Flagstaff starting at 2 p.m.
It's been a long time since foresters wrote plainly about their work--Gifford Pinchot, Aldo Leopold, Elers Koch (Forty Years a Forester)--and back then it was only the guys." - Ana Maria Spagna, author of Now Go Home: Wilderness, Belonging, and the Crosscut Saw
From the urban landscape of Paris to the rural landscapes of the Southwest - join us!
