Controversial classics, free expression for kids, the best local blues southern Arizona has to offer, and lots more - we're eliminating boredom this weekend with some killer in-store and community events.

Tonight, Sept. 25th, 8 p.m. and 10 p.m., at MADCAP Theaters: Bookmans presents A Clockwork Orange, a FREE Fight Censorship film screening. If you've never experienced the Stanley Kubrick screen adaptation of Anthony Burgess' classic novel, there's no better time than tonight at MADCAP Theaters. A big screen, a theater full of people - watching is not a crime!

Bring the entire family for "Express Yourself" Kids Craft Day at Bookmans Mesa on Saturday, Sept. 26th, 1 p.m. Little ones have the option of "expressing themselves" by painting on canvas, decorating a tote bag, or modeling clay figures. Space is very limited, so please arrive on time.

Stop by Bookmans Grant on Saturday, Sept. 26th, 3-4 p.m., and enjoy a free performance by Mariachi Aztlan de Pueblo High School, Tucson's most popular youth mariachi!

Also on Saturday, Phoenix Metaphysical Group will meet at Bookmans Phoenix, starting at 7 p.m. Interested in metaphysics? Want to learn to improve your gifts? The group will cover topics ranging from energy work to past lives.

All day Sunday, Sept. 27th, at Bookmans Flagstaff, it's Anti-Censorship Day! The store has various activities lined up for all ages, including anti-censorship collaging, "Free Speech" cookie decorating, and local favorite Tony Norris will be on hand to perform old time anti-censorship tunes. Check the event listing to see what's happening when.

The SABHF Blues Challenge Final Competition is here! Come down to Club Congress this Sunday and see southern Arizona's best blues musicians battle it out on stage. What's up for grabs? A trip to represent at the National Blues Challenge in Memphis, provided by Bookmans. Competition starts at 1 p.m. and it's only $5 at the door (kids 12 and under free).

And at 7 p.m. on Sunday, The Improvised Book Club will bring analysis and improv to Stage 55 as they turn their sights on Fight Censorship classic Brave New World. If you're looking for an evening of entertainment and enlightenment, bring $5 and a smile.
