The weather could not have been more inviting last week at Margaret T. Hance Park in Central Phoenix where we celebrated the 2010 El Dia De Los Ninos. This event has been celebrated since 1925, El Dia De Los Ninos translates to Day of the Child. The day recognizes children, pays homage to their importance in society, celebrates diversity, and teaches the children about how to become a strong community member. I never grow tired of book bag decorating with kids, it is so much fun to watch their spirit come alive and their creativity flow. Check out our Flickr photos here.
From firemen, libraries, and mascots to multicultural dance, crafts, and snacks they children had many activities to choose from. Bookmans is proud to support our next generation of strong community members, firemen, librarians, astronauts, and cowboys! These children are being taught the tools to grow up well! Thank you to City of Phoenix Latino Institute for organizing an amazing event.
