Bookmans Grant will host Tyson Jerry and Cloe Whittaker, founders of the Driven to Sustain project, for a meet-and-greet on Thursday, January 21 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. The Driven to Sustain project is a non-profit project designed to educate people about environmental sustainability and promote global awareness by driving 45,000 kilometers across North America using waste vegetable oil as fuel.
This record-breaking journey on alternative fuel sources is almost halfway over, and still going strong. Jerry and Whittaker have converted a van to run on waste vegetable oil, earning it the nicknames “The Green Machine” and “Greased Lightning.” Their goal is to visit every state and province in North America, visiting as many sustainable initiatives as they can, and learning about the very best practices in sustainable living along the way.
Tyson Jerry and Cloe Whittaker will make their Tucson stop at Bookmans Grant, answering questions and sharing the details of their amazing North American journey. Free refreshments will be provided, courtesy of Bookmans. For more information about Driven to Sustain, please visit their website here.
