This Wednesday night starting at 6:30 p.m., the Arizona Browncoats, Bookmans, and The Loft Cinema proudly present the Can't Stop the Serenity 2010 double-feature, an awesome cinematic charity event benefiting the international women's rights advocacy group Equality Now! and The Women's Foundation of Southern Arizona, right here in Tucson. This is a great annual event that Bookmans is proud to support.

First, you'll blast off with a 35mm feature presentation of Serenity, the thrilling 2005 cowboy space-opera directed by Joss Whedon, based on his classic TV series Firefly. Then, buckle up for a Serenity-inspired costume contest on The Loft stage, and a rip-roaring auction featuring fabulous prizes, cool collectibles and more Whedon-related merchandise than you can possibly imagine.
Finally, we'll round out out the evening with a special Tucson Premiere screening of the new feature-length fan film Browncoats: Redemption, produced by Big Damn Fan Films, and set in the Firefly/Serenity universe. The doors open at The Loft Cinema at 6 p.m. and admission for the double-feature is $10 or $7 for each individual film. Don't miss this wonderful annual event that gives back to global community in a big way!
