The Midnite Movie Mamacita is thrilled to announce that she has a new home at the MADCAP Theaters on Mill Avenue in Tempe. Formerly the Centerpoint 11 multiplex, the Mill Avenue District Community Arts Project (MADCAP) is an exciting new multi-use cultural center featuring venues for music, dance, theater and, yes, even the MMM’s special brand of B-movie mayhem. In addition to booking the off-kilter cinema that’s put her on the local psychotronic movie map (just feast your orbs on August’s line-up below!), the Mamacita is honored to serve as MADCAP’s film programmer, a post that will allow her to feature more serious fare and work with other promoters and programmers throughout the Valley.

Inglorious Bastards (9pm) and The Man from Deep River (11pm), $8

Inglorious Bastards (1978) Fred Williamson, Bo Svenson and an international cast of no-name meatballs kick ass (and everything else that gets in their action-splattered way) in this spaghetti Dirty Dozen knock-off that inspired Quentin Tarantino’s soon-to-be-released in-misspelled-name-only “remake”. Compare and contrast at your own peril!

Passes for an advance Valley screening of QT’s Inglourious Basterds will be given to several lucky viewers during both nights’ screenings.

The Man from Deep River (1972) A photographer lost in a Thai rain forest finds himself up to his neck in torture, T&A, cannibalism and other deep doo-doo in this Hungry Man-size serving of stewpot sleaze, Italian style. Deep River? Try S*** Creek!
