Bookmans News
Bookmans is proud to support literacy and education in our community by offering lots of free events in our stores. A study by the National Assessment of Educational progress found that children who are read to frequently are nearly twice as likely as other children to show three or more skills associated with emerging literacy. That's why we're proud to sponsor free storytimes each week, and are pleased to be featured in this morning's Arizona Daily Star. You can read the article here.
At our Speedway and Wilmot location, we hold storytime each Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. It's an hour of hand-selected stories for your little ones to enjoy, accompanied by a coloring activity and a free snack and juice box. At our Ina store in Tucson, storytime is also every Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
For the Phoenix metro area, our Mesa store hosts storytime with Toni each week on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Toni's storytimes are themed, and include an activity to complement the week's theme. This week, Toni will be reading stories about birthday parties, and the kids will get to make balloon animals!
So don't miss out on the next storytime at a Bookmans near you! Don't forget, each FREE event includes a coloring activity, a beverage and a snack. We'll see you there!
