Bookmans has been nominated for the 2010 Workplace Excellence Award of Greater Tucson! We are thrilled and honored to join the other great Tucson businesses and organizations that were recognized in the nominations.

Established in 2002, the Workplace Excellence Award program highlights companies whose progressive human resources and business practices help make Tucson a great place to work! The program also emphasizes that talented and dedicated employees are a company's most valuable asset, and helps provide continuing education for those employers who wish to continue improving their HR knowledge and retention. This year, the program is expanding their selection process, offering new awards to companies who exemplify and celebrate an evolving human resources workplace in Tucson.

Finalists will be notified January 18-22, 2010, and if Bookmans moves forward, we will head to an awards ceremony at the Westin La Paloma on March 3, 2010.  The winner will be named by Tucson Newspapers and the SHRM-GT (Society for Human Resources Management of Greater Tucson - whew that's a long one!).  We wish all the other nominated companies the best of luck throughout this process and we are very thankful to be considered one of Tucson's most progressive businesses.
