Bookmans was a proud sponsor of Pride in the Pines again this year, and had a great time buying, selling, and giving-away! Each person who could answer three Pride-related trivia questions correctly was given a free naughty or nice bag, and everyone left our booth with something. We asked questions like: Do you know what PFLAG stands for? What's the significance of the Stonewall Riots? Who was Harvey Milk?

We also sponsored Chuck Cheesman's famous kids music show in the Pride childrens' area, and had a balloon sculptor and face-painter, just to add to the festivities. High points included meeting my bearded grocery checker in rainbow tights, petting bulldogs in tutus, and watching Book Man wrestle young women in a Sumo suits! Pride in the Pines is always a great time, and this year was no exception. Having Pride in whoever you are is always something Bookmans believes in. Check out the pictures here.
