We are getting a head start on our Recycled Art Exhibit for GreenFest 2011. Listen up all you artists out there. Bookmans challenges you, accredited artist or self-proclaimed, to use books, magazines, LPs or CDs to create recycled art. The goal is to create a piece with no less than 85% recycled products and that all materials are visible. The juried exhibit will be on display at GreenFest on April 2, 2011 with prizes for multiple winners.

Calling all artists to participate in the juried exhibition at Bookmans GreenFest 2011. We are looking for two-dimensional and three-dimensional pieces of art made strictly from the approved materials provided by Bookmans. This is an opportunity to showcase your work to thousands of viewers.

Art Piece Drop Off: 3/31/11

Exhibition: 4/2/11

Art Piece Pick Up: 4/4/11 We can make special arrangements for load in and out.

Where: The exhibition will be held out-of-doors at the University of Arizona Co-op Extension at 4210 N. Campbell Ave., Tucson, AZ 85719. The art piece drop off and pick up will be at the Bookmans Resource Center, 1135 N. Jones Blvd., Tucson, AZ 85713.

Rules: Art pieces must be constructed from at least 85% of the approved media: magazines, books, LPs or CDs. The remaining 15% can be used on construction/adhesion mediums or paint. Three-dimensional Ages 12 and under -- 1st place $100 Bookmans Gift Card; Ages 13 through 17 -- 1st place $150 Bookmans Gift Card; Ages 18+ -- 1st place $200 Bookmans Gift Card. Best in Show -- $200 Bookmans Gift Card. Honorable Mention -- $50 Bookmans Gift Card.

All winning pieces will be displayed throughout all Bookmans locations, posted on our website and featured in Bookmans Low Lounge at the Sahuaro Girl Scouts Council. Winners will be chosen by a jury of Bookmans employees.
