Bookmans News

Perhaps you read the article in the paper on Sunday, or maybe you are watching the new daily Flickr updates of the Bookmans rebuild and warehouse work, but if you live in Flagstaff, you probably know that Bookmans employees are hard at work trying to get the store ready to reopen this fall.

You may also already know that we are doing house calls to replenish our stock (call 928-774-0334 if you have a big lot of stuff for us to look at). What you may not have heard is that we plan to begin buying and selling out in the community beginning next month!

We are sponsoring all of our usual festivals like the Flagstaff Music Festival, Pride in the Pines, and the Northern Arizona Highland Games, and some new ones like the Recycled Art Exhibition and Rock the House. At all of these events we will be ready to buy your stuff, and we’ll also be selling merchandise at many of them! You’ll even get a free tote bag with each purchase.

We also plan to set-up a regular weekly or bi-monthly location for buying and selling out in the community as soon as the weather gets warmer. For now, here’s a list of upcoming events where you can bring us your stuff and possibly buy some new goodies. And please check back soon for more info on a regular buying time and location!

  • April 17th, Earth Day on the South Lawn of Flagstaff City Hall. We’ll be buying only.
  • May 8th, Recycled Art Exhibition at the Coconino center for the Arts. We’ll be buying, and maybe selling.
  • May 22nd, Kids and Adults Video Game Challenge at the Orpheum Theater. We’ll be buying and selling!
  • June 12th, Pride in the Pines in Wheeler Park. We’ll be buying and selling!
  • June 19th & 20th, Flagstaff Music Festival in Heritage Square. We’ll be buying and selling!
