Bookmans News
On May 29th, several members of Bookmans' staff worked with a fantastic group from Sonora, Mexico to coordinate a donation of over 1,000 children’s books to the non-profit organization Ponguinguiola in Obregon. Ponguinguiola is doing amazing work with several schools in Obregon, providing educational programs that focus on literacy, culture, and the environment. They even have a fantastic mobile library that travels to where books are most needed.
Together, we sorted through hundreds of boxes at Bookmans’ warehouse to help Ponguinguiola staff select children’s books for their program in Obregon. We want to thank Rose Julia Nenninger from La Voz del Pueblo Show and Bernardo Mendez Lugo from the Mexican Consulate for their help in facilitating this international donation. Bookmans is proud to support literacy and education programs like Ponguinguiola and we hope to see these wonderful women again soon!
