Looking for a bit of culture? Family fun? Want to understand your pet in an entirely new way? We've got a weekend packed with goodness in the stores this weekend - and all events are free!
In honor of Dog Days of Summer, we want to highlight the animal welfare groups that will be holding animal adoptions throughout the weekend, including Arizona Greyhound Rescue, Arizona Adopt A Greyhound, Greyhound Pets of America - AZ Chapter, Save the Pets AZ, and Arizona Retriever Rescue. Tonight, Friday, July 17th, at Bookmans Ina: Indie rock band Boreas will perform songs from their new album, Hymns and Lies, 6-8 p.m.
Saturday, July 18th, 1-4 p.m. at Bookmans Mesa: What better way to spend a hot Saturday afternoon than at Bookmans? We'll have free caricatures of the whole family from 1-3 p.m., free craft activities for the kids from 2-3 p.m., live music, giveaways, and fun for the whole family...even the pets! The San Francisco Chocolate Factor will be vending their frozen treats throughout the event. Join us in the A/C and indulge in their frozen chocolate delights, frozen strawberries, bananas, and yummy candy apples. You'll also have a chance to win fun family prizes from Golfland Mesa. Just right around the corner, Golfland/Sunsplash is an even better way to have fun in the sun!
Saturday, July 18th, 3 p.m. at Bookmans Flagstaff: The Buzzard Brothers Band, a fantastic local bluegrass trio, begins their residency in the Cafe this week, where they will be performing every third Saturday of the month.
Saturday, July 18th, 3 p.m. at Bookmans Ina: Questions about your pet? She will connect with your pet in the energy, ask your question and let you know what she intuitively "picks up" from your pet. You do not need your pet to be there in person. It's fun and it may surprise you! Sunday, July 19th, 6 p.m. at Bookmans Flagstaff: Larry Peterson, a local favorite, will be play his original songs in the Café, right after his taxi-driving shift!
