Weekend Events 1

It's going to be a hot one this weekend, but Bookmans is offering a wide range of indoor activities to wash away your weekend boredom. We have events for all ages and interests from belly dancing and chess tournaments to book signings and an early Halloween celebration. Like the merchandise in our stores, there's something for everyone when it comes to weekend in-store events!

TUCSON:

Speedway- On Saturday, come to a book signing with Phillip Greene. Greene plans to read and sign copies of his book Running on Empty: A Handbook for Understanding and Surviving the Energy Crisis. And on Sunday, check out our first annual All Queens Chess Day. Kids of all ages are welcome as we celebrate the historic game of chess with a tournament and chess-themed arts and crafts.

Ina- If you love dogs, swing by our store on Saturday for The Arizona Greyhound Rescue event to say hello to some amazing pooches in need of a loving home. Volunteers will be on hand to answer all your questions.

PHOENIX:

Are you as excited about Halloween as we are?  Then grab the kids, get dressed up and attend our Halloween Party on Saturday. We'll have tasty treats, ghostly games, and fang-tastic prizes.  And on Sunday, stop by for a Fusion Belly Dancing class to burn off some of that candy!  Morgianna, our experienced instructor, offers multi-level classes.  She will teach you how to shake your hips and master some new moves.

MESA:

Wouldn't you like to start the week with a brand new dog?  Then come to our store on Saturday to visit with the friendly volunteers and lovable dogs at our Arizona Adopt A Greyhound event.

As we said before, there's something for everyone. For more information on each function, click on the events in red. Also, check out our events calendar, because we have even MORE exciting things to offer. We hope to see you in our stores this weekend!
