Bookmans Flagstaff had a fantastic pre-Halloween party last Sunday, complete with mask-making, cookie-decorating, and an employee scary sweets contest. All kids in costume got discounts and we had everything from batmen to batteries, puppy-dogs to princesses. One little boy’s dog costume was so realistic that my 12-month-old kept pointing at him and saying “woof!”

Bookmans was thrilled with the wonderful turnout for the 1st Annual All Queens Chess Day at Bookmans Speedway this past Sunday! This great event allowed kids and adults of all ages to experience the joy of chess and also hosted Tucson's first ever chess tournament just for women and girls.

For 8 years now, diversity and culture have been celebrated at The Rainbows Festival. Held at The Heritage Square Park in Downtown Phoenix, the two-day outdoor event has a great variety of artists, arts & crafts sellers, non profits and businesses that market their service and products to the metro Phoenix LGBT community. Bookmans made its return this year and was greeted warmly by thousands upon thousands of individuals!

Hip-Hip-Hooray for Angi Christiansen, who came in 2nd of the women in the Flagstaff Marathon 10K! Angi represented us well in her new Bookmans racing jersey. Her time was 53:36, not great for her (if you can believe it) but the course was really rough.
