Censorship, literacy, and AIDS awareness helped garner three Gold trophies for Bookmans at the Tucson Advertising Federation's 27th annual ADDY Awards, where excellence in advertising and media is recognized by industry professionals.
Bookmans is no stranger to the ADDYs. Since 2001, Bookmans' marketing department and graphic designer Joel Yohn have received numerous citations of excellence, six Bronze, four Silver, and ten Gold trophies, and even a Judges' Choice at the annual awards.
Now we can add three more Gold and one Bronze to the list in 2008. On Saturday, Feb. 16, the 27th annual ADDY Awards was held at the Lowes Ventana Canyon Resort. According to Tucson Advertising Federation President Jim Arnold, there was a "huge" increase in entries this year. "The quality of these entries impressed our three industry professionals who came, from Texas, Oregon, and Maryland, to judge this year's group of outstanding work."
