Everyone likes a good list and that's the idea behind HANDPICKED: pick a theme, make a list, and share it with us. 

Sure, we want to know what you like, what's influenced you, those items you consider essential to humanity's continued existence. But we're interested in your creative side, too - perhaps you'd like to share a list of your favorite children's book characters, your top five zombie-fighting songs, the most under-appreciated Renaissance artists, or the authors and musicians who got you through high school. Or maybe you've been dying to detail the weirdest impulse buys you've ever made in one of our stores, or the best albums you've pulled from our bargain bins. The theme is yours to pick.

As for what goes on your list - if it can potentially be found in a Bookmans, it's fair game. Doesn't matter if it's out-of-print everywhere else - chances are we've seen it come over the counter at least once. But that means don't put the brand-new "Transformers" movie on your list, since you can't buy that yet. (The original Transformers animated movie is, of course, fair game.) This is your chance to offer up a guide for someone's next shopping expedition, and to have fun with it.

And, most importantly, tell us the story behind your choices. If Elton John's "Rocket Man" has made it onto your "Songs That Make Me Weep Like A Baby" list, we want to know why!
