        Educators

        Educator Benefits
As an educator, we know you're spending your own money on class materials. So spend some on yourself, and take 20% off all your purchases. Not just classroom material, everything. And by the way, thanks.

"It amazes me that each time I do a school presentation for teaching staff, 95% are already shopping Bookmans, and maybe 10% are aware of the educators' discount. It's my job to make sure 100% are aware of what Bookmans can do to help them bring books into their classrooms."

        - Sheila Kressler-Crowley, Tucson Community Coordinator

Visit any Bookmans location or click here for an application. Once you qualify, we'll give you an Educators Discount Card. It's that easy.

        Educators Community Forum
Once your Educator Benefits application is processed, we'll invite you to participate in our private Educators Community on the Bookmans forum. Interact with other educators in your area, and tell us what you need and want in your classrooms. We're here to help you enrich your students' learning experience.

        The Bookmans' Reading Challenge
In 2007, Bookmans challenged 25 Tucson Unified School District elementary schools to encourage their students to read as much possible in a three-month period. For every book they read, the children wrote a report or drew a picture, and the school with the highest average of books read per student won $5,000. When all was said and done, Tucson students had read over 100,000 books and Schumaker Elementary won the big prize!

"Read 10 Books, Get A Free Book!"
Bookmans has always offered kids a free book after they read 10 and write a short report in our Kids Club. Now you can incorporate it into your classroom!

        We ask for:

        • Name and age.
        • The title and author of the book.
        • Why you liked or disliked the book.

You can stick with those basic requirements or build on them to use this incentive in your classroom. We want you to have the tools, and to use them as you see fit. To get your class, or your whole school involved, please contact Sheila at sheilak(at)bookmans.com.

        Free Class Tour
Bring your class into Bookmans, and we'll show you around the "World's Finest Bookstore".

From the economics of the trade counter to the anthill of activity that is our back room, bring your class in to get a backstage tour.

Meet the people that make the magic fresh every day, and marvel at the mountains of goodies! If you think the stores are cool, wait until you see the engine behind them. Contact your local store to schedule your class tour today!
